Race Paris - Roubaix, April 2, 1899

 



"Paris - Roubaix" (Fr. Paris-Roubaix) - a one-day professional cycling race.


Among the ephemeral race "Paris - Roubaix" is the third oldest (after the Belgian Liege - Bastogne - Liege and international Paris - Brussels) of ongoing and one of the most prestigious.

Race held in 1896 at the beginning of April, 1967 to match the name of the route: Start in Paris and finish in Roubaix.

The race is also known and covered slopes - 26 plots pavers from 100 m to 3.7 km total length of about 50 km, which is prepared by volunteers before the event

In 1899, the cup remained in France, Albert Champona
